This product is special to me in many ways. This is the first Highlighter/Strobing product I got for myself 2 years back. I know its too late to review but hey its better late than never. For me a highlighter or an illuminator or a strobing product or anything related to glow,shimmer etc was a big No No. But the blogger inside me said to try it and I finalised this one I dont know why and rest is history. (yeah I got so many highlighters/strobing product after that)
Also the pic clicked is of last year I forgot to review it that time and just couple of days after clicking the pic I broke this product. I do break lot of my products….bad me….
Now coming to this product. It comes in various shade name ranges from 10 watt to 120 watt. 120 watt is more suitable for fair skin tone and 10 for deeper skin tone. I chose 50 watt after doing a bit of research and checking many reviews and I am so happy its perfect for my (Mac NC 40) medium warm skin tone.
Formula is very silky soft powdery, when you see the packaging it looks so luxe but when you touch it, it does feel plasticy. but thats okay quantity is really good. It will end you for forever as you need a bit only. It looks creamy in the pan but its finely milled powder kind of. Texture is again smooth and glides on easily. It gives a good warmth to my face.
As a beginner when I started using it I did lot of mistake and initially thought to use it as either eyeshadow or on corner of my eyes or as a brow definer. Slowly I started getting better slowly I started using other highlighters. This product is good when you use a very less quantity and if your base is smooth, what I have noticed in my case that when I tried to build it up my faced looked cakey or all product just got settle at one place. I have observed this multiple time that its not buildable, you have to be careful at start only. Once you know how this work, a little goes a long way…you are good to go.
It stays good for many hours, around 6-7 hours to be precise. I really love this product I many times think of repurchasing it but I already have many highlighters and I do need to experiment more.
